Being just an average Anna, I was in awe with the spirit of Free Gaza Movement volunteers. And so I decided to write. I've abandoned blogging for quite some time as I'm juggling with my fast track 1-year Masters (which will be finishing by the end of this month) :)

Anyway back to the issue, as we all know recently one of Malaysian ships, Rachel Corrie, had been stormed, days after Mavi Manamara had been brutally attacked. And I can't help but wonder. Why.

But before that, why Rachel Corrie? The name Rachel Corrie itself had left me wondering. I mean, we could have named it Jalur Gemilang or any other cheesy Malay names. Well, after reading, I knew that it isn't an "it" but rather a "she".

Rachel, an American lady, could have been 31 years old by now, but she was crushed to death (literally) by a bulldozer after becoming a human shield. She was a volunteer and was against the demolition of houses by Israelis. That was in Gaza. And yes, that was year 2003.

Now it's 2010, and no, the attack is still on. Even bigger, even bolder. The reason of the conflict will be discussed in the later writing.

Until then, oh hail Rachel Corrie. And all the peace-lovers.
